Welcome the Holiday Season with Shana Farr and Steve Ross, The Players Club, Tuesday, November 28

The Players Club members Shana Farr and Steve Ross bring in the holiday season on Tuesday, November 28 at 7 PM at The Players (16 Gramercy Park South) with their new show, Our Favorite Things: The Great American Songbook & Holiday Favorites. Doors open at 6:30, with the bar open for drinks. Non-members of the club must RSVP at shana@shanafarr.com. Tickets are $25, available in advance online here or at the door.  
This new program includes material by Berlin, Porter, Lerner and Loewe, Rodgers and Hammerstein and more, with seasonal and  holiday songs such as “White Christmas,” “Sleigh Ride,” “Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!,” “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year,” and standards including “On a Clear Day You Can See Forever” and “Heather on the Hill.”
Shana Farr is a 2015 Bistro Award winner for Outstanding Show for In the Still of the Night, and a 2012 Julie Wilson Award winner. She has performed at New York City Center, Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera, Feinstein’s at the Loews Regency, McCarter Theatre, Kranzberg Arts Center, with the Missouri Symphony Orchestra, South Shore Orchestra and more. She’s also appeared on television and in film, on stage in operetta and musical theater, as well as cabaret. 
Steve Ross is the recipient of many awards, including the 2015 MAC Lifetime Achievement Award. He has mastered the canons of many of the contributors of the American Songbook, having begun an illustrious career at New York’s iconic Algonquin Hotel and Ted Hook’s Backstage in the late 1970s. Since then, he has been singing and playing in clubs and venues all over the world, including The Ritz in London, the Crillon in Paris and the Imperial Hotel Tokyo, in addition to festivals in Hong Kong, Perth and Spoleto. He has also been the performer/host for radio series for both the BBC and National Public Radio.
