Robin’s Nest Brunch Show May 7 Welcomes Broadway’s Mandy Gonzalez of Hamilton, plus Wendy Scherl and More

Robin’s Nest creator and host Robin Westle has announced her May 7 line-up — for a 1 pm brunch show–  which will be the 10th edition of this cabaret/variety show with on-stage interviews.  It will star Mandy Gonzalez, best known for her current role as Angelica Schuyler in Broadway’s smash hit, Hamilton. She’s also played Elphaba in Wicked and created the role of Nina in In the Heights.

Also appearing; singer-song writer Beau HowardJohn Koprowski, Treasurer of MAC (Manhattan Association of Cabarets and Clubs); MetroStar finalist Wendy Scherl; and Don Scime, producer, writer and star of the multi award-winning film, David Dance.

Beneficiary of ticket sales is HelpUsAdopt.org, an organization that defrays the high cost of adoption and helps create families.  Performers donate their time and talent. Robin’s Nest is about “great entertainment with a cause” – the support of HelpUsAdopt.org– presented through song and stories shared during on-stage interviews with Westle. “Many of the performers who participate in Robin’s Nest,” says Westle, a Board Member of the organization, as well as host and singer, “have ties to adoption and are very aware of the need for financial and moral support in the adoption process.” Robin’s Nest was initiated by Westle, the mother of two adopted children, in 2014, with a dual mission of promoting great entertainment while benefiting an organization that’s vital to the adoption community. 
Robin’s Nest is directed by 6-time MAC Award winner Eric Michael Gillett, who will also sing.  Music Director is pianist Tracy Stark, with Owen Yost (bass) and Arei Sekiguchi (percussion).

Note: Joshua Lance Dixon was announced to perform, but had to bow out.

The venue is The Laurie Beechman Theatre, located in midtown Manhattan at 407 West 42 Street, NYC, in the West Bank Cafe. There is a $25 cover charge and a $20 food/drink minimum. For show reservations, call 212.352.3101.
